Following an unforgettable first edition of A Bass Odyssey in June, we reunite for the next session in January, bringing some much needed warmth to the deep Berlin winter. Once again we will be joined by some truly heavyweight artists from around the world, plus full-frequency sound reinforcement for that full body experience!
Hailing from Bristol, UK – a city long known for it’s open-minded attitude and forward-thinking bass music scene – we are joined by the mighty Peng Sound Records – who with their debut release in 2012, “Find Jah Way”, created one of the biggest anthems of the year, and one of the most sought after records for dub/step enthusiasts to date! Since then they have followed up with a number of quality releases and remixes from some of Bristol’s biggest names in futuristic dub, such as Dubkasm, Gorgon Sound & Ishan Sound.
Around the same time in 2012, another future-thinking label was born in Leipzig, Germany. Since their first release they have succeeded in carving out a unique niche in the international bass music scene, floating somewhere between dub and jungle, always with a vintage yet futuristic sound, and pressed in the classic 7″ / 45rpm format. We are very happy to invite 45Seven to Berlin for a lesson in “future roots”!
